These two pictures that I have chosen I believe enhance and speak to each other. I think that they are complimentary in a way. Without one you can’t have the other. What I mean by this is in order for people to be there for you and support you, you need to be truthful. Honesty goes a long way. Being truthful, no matter the circumstance, does a lot for your character and the way people think of you. Also, if you are an honest person, people will tend to reciprocate that behavior back towards you. By this occurring, it can make the world a much simpler and happier place which leads into one of the themes in my adaptation that I wrote.
Honesty can bring people together and increase respect for one another as humans. No matter your race, gender, ethnicity, or culture, you can make an effort to be an honest and truthful person. With you doing that you can create a happy and healthy environment with the people around you. This type of environment will attract people and hopefully they can carry on this environment throughout their lives connecting all of us at one. These pictures can help the reader further interpret or alter the meanings behind each tale. I think for some people finding the message in a tale isn’t always the easiest thing to do and having an image to go with it can help aid them in further developing the theme. For these two images that is what it does.
For the first image, which was meant for the original tale written by Aesop, you see two people making a pinky promise. This is a sign of trust between people. This relates back to the original because the main message behind the story was being trustworthy and honest. And without those characteristics, it will be hard to keep people around you in your life.
As for the second image, this was geared towards my adaptation. The main message in my adaptation was to treat people with kindness. Even little acts of kindness can go a long way, and with those little acts people will start coming together more and helping each other out making the world happier and safer. This image further interprets that because depending on how you look at the image you can see both sides. The first side being the individual reaching out and giving help to a group of people or a group of people reaching out and giving their help to an individual. No matter how you look at it, the image shows unity which is what I was trying to convey in my adaptation. Images can play an important role in further developing a stories plot or message that the author is trying to convey.
